Spatial MES at Hanwha Ocean moved
from pilot into build

HD Hyundai Samho has finished its proof of value, and a demonstration at Samsung Heavy Industries is scheduled.

What a shipyard works on is a hull block weighing hundreds of tonnes. There is no standard place to put a barcode, it never passes a conveyor, its shape differs every time, and a crane moves it around an open-air yard. ERP and MES were both there; what was missing was the live data to put inside them.

Spatial MES reads the space instead of scanning a barcode. On a site running it we measured a 28.8% gain in productivity.
